A few simple plans like this one will solve our fiscal problems. Consider the fact that eliminating our national debt will result in an annual saving of more that $400 Billion / year. The present value of $400 Billion at 4% interest is $10 Trillion.
The national debt can be eliminated in an instant by simply creating the money needed and paying off the debt. Some will argue that would be inflationary -- but such thinking is obviously incorrect. The national debt is already the same as money in the system -- converting that debt to actual money would not be inflationary. (mrc)
